On August 1, 2026, the HAIMER Group will complete the generational change in its ownership structure. The company shares will be transferred to the second generation, with siblings Andreas and Kathrin Haimer taking on responsibility as managing partners. This way, the internationally active family business establishes its long-term, owner-managed orientation on a clear and future-proof basis.

At the HAIMER Group, a globally leading manufacturer of clamping tools, presetting, shrinking, and balancing technology, as well as a complete solution provider in the area of tool management around the machine tool, the generational change will take place on August 1, 2026. The shares of the HAIMER Group will be transferred to the children of the founders, Andreas and Kathrin Haimer, as part of a long-prepared succession plan.
Claudia and Franz Haimer, who founded the company in 1977 and have built and led it to become a hidden champion and global player over the past decades, will remain operationally active in management until December 31, 2027. During this time, they will accompany the handover process to ensure a smooth and carefully designed transition to the second generation. Additionally, they will continue to support the company in a newly established advisory board with their experience and network in the long term.

"For us, this step is a very emotional moment as we hand over our life's work to our children. At the same time, the handover is also a significant milestone in the development of our family business," explains Claudia Haimer. "Andreas and Kathrin have been closely connected to HAIMER for a long time and have successfully taken on responsibility in management for many years. This ensures the continuity of our values, our technological expertise, and our long-term strategy."

With the transfer of shares to Andreas and Kathrin Haimer, HAIMER strengthens its position as an independent, owner-managed family business that provides its customers with the "Tool Room of the Future" as a holistic tool room concept, offering more efficiency, digitalization, and automation.

HAIMER is thus addressing the challenges faced by many manufacturing companies, which are increasingly under cost pressure and the compulsion to digitalize and automate due to a shortage of skilled workers, enabling them to machine more precisely, reliably, and productively worldwide. With HAIMER, the shop floor can be digitized, and the area of tool assembly can be automated. The generational change is also a clear commitment to further strengthening this system competence and the company philosophy "Quality Wins."

Despite the rapidly changing and turbulent times in the industry, a "hidden champion" remains 100% in German family hands, allowing customers, partners, and employees to rely on long-term and sustainable actions in the future.

Andreas and Kathrin Haimer have been active in various leadership roles in the company for many years and now form the management of the HAIMER Group together with the founding couple. In their new role as managing partners, they will continue the growth path taken and at the same time set new impulses in the areas of digitalization, automation, and sustainability – for example, through the further expansion of digital products, connected tool room solutions, and automated cells for shrinking, presetting, and balancing.

Kathrin Haimer emphasizes, especially in light of the challenges in global markets, the responsibility towards people and employees: "As a family business, we bear responsibility – for the future of our company, for our employees, for the training of young people, and for our region. Our task is to connect the values that HAIMER has stood for for decades with innovative strength and state-of-the-art technology. This is how we want to actively shape the future of our company – as a reliable partner for our customers and as an attractive employer."

Andreas Haimer adds the technological and strategic perspective: "We are ourselves a manufacturing company with over 200 machine tools and an annual machining volume of around 5,000 tons – so we know from our own experience how important stable, productive processes and a well-thought-out tool management are. That’s why we consistently invest in digitalization and automation: from AI-capable shrinking, balancing, and presetting devices to our 'Tool Room of the Future' concept and global partnerships with machine manufacturers, where our connected solutions are rolled out worldwide. The generational change gives us the entrepreneurial freedom to further develop this long-term strategy and strengthen our role as a technology leader in the periphery around the machine tool and the networking of the shop floor."

Franz Haimer reflects on the joint achievements of the past decades: "The success of HAIMER is inseparably linked to the commitment of our global team. That we can now hand over our group of companies to our children while knowing that a strong team supports the company is the best foundation for a successful future for HAIMER. As a family business that can operate independently and sustainably for the benefit of our customers, we are currently receiving strong support from the semiconductor, aerospace, defense, and energy industries for our comprehensive solutions in the tool room. With this, all companies that want and need to prepare for the future can transform an opaque and disorganized tool assembly as a black box into a transparent and data-driven tool setup and presetting process. This allows production to run around the clock, even with maximum automation."
