The challenging economic situation in Europe is affecting the industry. The market volume in tool and mold making is decreasing, leading to a general decline in revenues. Additionally, constantly rising personnel costs are challenging companies. Despite the currently difficult market environment, Meusburger can assert itself as a leading standard parts manufacturer.

While the complete provider also recorded a single-digit percentage decline in revenue, it can simultaneously maintain its market leadership in Europe. 'We are closely monitoring market developments and reacting flexibly to the changed situation,' explains Managing Director Guntram Meusburger. To continuously stay informed about current trends and challenges in the industry, the company has launched its own market barometer in collaboration with the WBA Toolmaking Academy. The focus of all analyses is to better meet customer needs in the future. This includes, for example, an online service that allows customers to access their products even faster and more efficiently. After adjusting the strategy, Meusburger is confident of being successful in the future and further expanding its market leadership.

Customer needs in focus

The standard parts supplier is optimizing its internal processes and increasingly focusing on automation and digitization. The goal of these measures is to continue providing the best support to customers and to be the best partner in tool and mold making. Examples of optimization include the new 'Driverless Transport System' (FTS), which was successfully commissioned in the fall. Additionally, the packaging and order picking processes have been optimized. Both measures contribute to further shortening delivery times. 'Ordered today, delivered immediately' – with this claim, Meusburger wants to continue guaranteeing its customers the best quality and short delivery times.

Advantage through digitization

'We have been investing heavily in important digitization projects for years to secure a clear advantage,' says Guntram Meusburger. The new portal plays a central role in this. Since the launch of the modern webshop, it has been expanded with many new features through regular updates. These improve the user experience and offer customers even more options. The Meusburger portal is available to users around the clock in up to 20 languages. From detailed insights into orders to time-saving design options, the portal supports the entire value chain and enables customers to quickly and efficiently achieve their goals. Meusburger is convinced that the combination of a perfectly coordinated product portfolio, excellent service, and innovative digital solutions will continue to be the key to success in the future.
