During grinding and polishing, the smallest chips and particles are generated, which burden cooling lubricants and grinding oils. For high-quality grinding results, these must be reliably filtered out. The various variants and sizes of these filters can be supplemented with numerous options and thus optimally adapted to the respective grinding application.
The KNOLL HydroPur is a hydrostatic filter that can supply chip-removing machine tools with cleaned cooling lubricant (emulsion or oil). Due to its flat discharge slope and high filter fineness, this type of filter is particularly suitable for use in grinding processes. KNOLL offers various variants of the HydroPur, differing in maximum filter performance, possible vacuum support, and numerous options. Thanks to the modular design from standard components, a customer-specific filter can be configured without the need for an expensive special construction.
At the KNOLL booth at GrindingHub 2026, the various HydroPur variants will be the focus. The smallest model on display, a HydroPur H 250, is presented as a complete system. This consists of a hydrostatic filter top, clean tank, filter fleece, supply pumps, and an optionally available unit for surface skimming.
Further available filtration variants and additional options are demonstrated by KNOLL on filter tops of the larger models. The HydroPur 400 is shown as a cost-effective entry-level filter with purely hydrostatic filtration. An additional magnetic roller can be seen as an option. The HydroPur H 700 demonstrates simple vacuum-supported filtration. This is achieved via a side channel blower that creates a vacuum in the filter chamber, thus facilitating filtration.
At the fair, the HydroPur H 700 will be on display with a winding unit for the used filter fleece.
While the two described HydroPur variants are already successfully on the market, the V variant equipped with a large vacuum turbine and filter pump will only receive sales approval soon. At GrindingHub, visitors can already preview the HydroPur V 1500-E.
Due to the powerful vacuum pump, HydroPur V filters achieve significantly increased filter performance. In the case of the HydroPur V 1500, this is 1500 l/min. The H variant with the same filter top manages 1000 l/min. The additional 'E' in the product designation of the exhibit stands for an additional endless filter belt, which ensures reduced operating and disposal costs.
When filter fineness smaller than 3 µm is required
Designed for the finest filtration, the also modularly constructed fine filter MicroPur is KNOLL's flagship. It is ideally suited for use in tool grinding of carbide and HSS. But it also delivers excellent results in casting processing. The MicroPur achieves filter fineness smaller than 3 µm and operates without filter consumables due to its special design, which significantly contributes to its high economic efficiency and sustainability.
At GrindingHub 2026, KNOLL will showcase the smallest standard model, the MicroPur 120, which contains two backflushable filter elements for a filter performance of around 120 l/min. In addition, the KNOLL MicroPur offering includes individual systems in the construction sizes 240 and 480 as well as individually configured central filter systems for entire production areas.
The click for increased efficiency
At GrindingHub 2026, the innovative Click.it system developed by KNOLL will also be present. The button system specifically contributes to reducing waste and increasing efficiency in various production processes. Whether material request, master call, or machine monitoring – Click.it ensures that information arrives directly and without detours where it is needed. The system, available in various configurations, is based on a combination of buttons, sensors, software, and interfaces that collect data and forward it to a central server. This processes the data and transmits it to various output devices. At the same time, data evaluation is possible, allowing for transparent process control.
