When Wilhelm Hainbuch laid the foundation for his company on March 1, 1951, with a lathe and an idea, no one could have guessed that it would one day become a leading global manufacturer of clamping technology. 75 years later, Hainbuch stands for inventiveness, down-to-earth values, and a strong will to improve things – shaped by people who not only develop technology but live it with passion.

It became clear early on: At Hainbuch, it's not about copying the existing, but about creating something new. The small company received a significant boost starting in the 1970s from Gerhard Rall, son-in-law of the company founder and long-time managing director. With passion, inventiveness, and the courage to take new paths, he developed the Spanntop clamping head chuck in 1977 – an innovation that gained worldwide acceptance and transformed Hainbuch from a small business into a leading manufacturer of clamping technology.

"We would rather fail with an innovation than succeed by copying" – this credo still shapes the company today. It explains why Hainbuch has consistently set technological standards: from intelligent clamping chucks with sensor technology to ultra-light carbon clamping tools, and solutions for automated and networked manufacturing. The current award with the TOP 100 seal underscores that innovation is not just history, but a lived present.

While Hainbuch was known for highly precise manual clamping technology for decades, the focus has consistently expanded in recent years. Clamping technology is now understood as an integral part of automated manufacturing processes – from individual clamping tools to solutions for the automated change of complete clamping tools, and even entire automation cells.

"With our AC [automated change] portfolio and intelligent IQ clamping tools, we provide the foundation to consistently automate clamping, setup, and measuring processes," explains Sylvia Rall, managing partner. "This is a crucial step towards economical production of small batch sizes and truly autonomous manufacturing."

Despite its international presence with around 800 employees worldwide, Hainbuch remains a family-owned company – owner-managed in the third generation, with short decision-making paths and a culture that embodies responsibility, trust, and long-term thinking. Many employees have been with the company for years and decades – working day by day with passion to turn technology into a real advantage for customers.

75 years of Hainbuch is not only a look back at successes but a clear commitment to the future – with Marbach as home, precision as a claim, and passion as a driving force.
