According to the Federal Statistical Office, exports fell nominally by 1.8 percent compared to the previous year. Adjusted for prices, the decline was even 3.3 percent. In total, machines and plants worth 198.5 billion euros were exported from Germany to the world. Thus, exports have decreased slightly more than production, which, according to preliminary calculations, shrank by a real 2.6 percent.
