The reward for consistent innovation work: Hainbuch GmbH has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2026 – in size class C (more than 200 employees). This makes Hainbuch one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. The festive award ceremony will take place on June 26, 2026, at the Congress Center Heidelberg as part of the German Medium-Sized Business Summit.

Innovation strength at Hainbuch is not a coincidence, but a system. In the scientific selection process of TOP 100, not individual inventions are evaluated, but innovation management and innovation success. Professor Nikolaus Franke (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and his team examine more than 100 parameters in five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovation processes and organization, open innovation/external orientation, and innovation success.

Innovation at Hainbuch: 'clever solutions' – and the courage to try new things

Hainbuch is a leading manufacturer of clamping, setup, measuring, and automation solutions for milling, turning, and grinding operations on machine tools. The family-owned company has been based in Marbach am Neckar since 1951 and is active worldwide with eleven subsidiaries.

Typical of Hainbuch is the interplay of Swabian ingenuity, practical relevance, and clear customer orientation: doers, thinkers, and developers pursue the mission of continuously simplifying, revolutionizing, and automating clamping technology processes.
The innovation culture is closely linked to the spirit of the owner family. Gerhard Rall, managing partner, sums up the self-understanding:

'We want to make our customers successful and strive for top performance and clever solutions. We would rather fail with an innovation than succeed by copying.'

This attitude has characterized Hainbuch for decades – from the revolution of workpiece clamping with the clamping top principle in the 1970s to new solutions for process-safe, networked, and automated manufacturing. Examples include intelligent IQ clamping tools and the automated quick-change interface centroteX AC for clamping tool changes in automated manufacturing processes. Even in day-to-day business, innovation strength is evident in high implementation performance: together with customers, over 1,000 special solutions for demanding clamping situations are created annually.

'The TOP 100 seal is a confirmation for us that our innovation claim is lived throughout the company – from the idea through the process to measurable benefits for the customer. We deliberately invest in technology, know-how, and collaboration to make manufacturing simpler, more precise, and more automatable,' explains Sylvia Rall, managing partner.
