Sustainability starts small – and grows with every good deed. Under this guiding principle, the employees of the three sister companies Leitz, Boehlerit, and Bilz once again engaged in the company-wide WeCare action weeks this year. What began in 2022 as a cross-company initiative to bundle existing local sustainability projects has since developed into a firmly established tradition. Today, WeCare stands for lived responsibility in a global network that connects, inspires, and motivates people across borders.

The fourth action weeks this year were once again marked by responsibility, solidarity, and pioneering spirit – supported by impressive participation from our employees and diverse engagement. The numerous projects reflect the Brucklacher Group's commitment to actively assume social responsibility and translate sustainable development into concrete action. WeCare is more than just an initiative: it is an expression of a communal understanding that is deeply rooted in the corporate culture of all three companies. Whether resource conservation, environmental awareness, or social engagement – creative and impactful projects have once again been realized worldwide, contributing to society and the environment in the long term. The engagement ranges from regionally rooted actions to international collaborations with non-profit organizations.
Record participation in the WeCare action weeks 2025
With 154 projects in 33 countries, this year's action weeks reached a new dimension: 2230 employees volunteered and contributed a total of over 3420 hours in various initiatives – from regional environmental measures to social aid actions. Impressive results were achieved: over two tons of material donations were collected, 109 liters of blood donated, 4900 trees planted, and 621 square meters of flowering areas created. In the area of climate protection, around 1.7 tons of CO2 were saved through conscious mobility and vegetarian nutrition.₂ The cleaning of nature and waters led to the removal of a total of 1.7 tons of waste.
A strong sign of solidarity was also set by the collected donations and monetary contributions amounting to 77,000 euros. Charitable organizations in the regions of the participating companies and worldwide also benefit from this.

The shareholder and the management of the three companies commend the extraordinary commitment of employees around the globe: “In 2025, WeCare once again demonstrated what is possible when many people pull together. The diversity and creativity of the projects clearly show how deeply the topic of sustainability and togetherness is rooted in our corporate culture. This commitment fills me with great gratitude and pride,” emphasizes Dr. Cornelia Brucklacher, chairwoman of the supervisory boards and shareholder.
WeCare impressively shows how many small contributions can create a large impact. The commitment of the employees makes it clear that sustainable action is not only possible but is a lived reality in the Brucklacher Group – for a livable future, today and tomorrow.
