From May 6 to 9, 2025, the Moulding Expo brings together toolmakers, model makers, and mold makers, their client companies, and suppliers all under one roof in the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6) of the Stuttgart Trade Fair. It's not just about individual components or technological innovations – but above all about future-proof solutions along the entire value chain. Whether process optimization, sustainable production concepts, or comprehensive development and manufacturing services: The Moulding Expo shows how companies can reposition themselves in a dynamic market environment and which strategies they use to respond to current challenges.
POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH is an expert in multi-component technology, LSR technology, and MIM, offering tailored solutions that combine precision and cost efficiency. Customers are supported from simulation to testing and sampling and benefit from comprehensive maintenance and spare parts service for long-term efficiency of the systems and minimized downtime.
At the Moulding Expo, the company from Lahr (Kaiserstuhl) focuses on how feasibility and economic viability of projects can be ensured in advance through its own designs and simulations. Dieter Göppert, Managing Director of POLAR-FORM Werkzeugbau GmbH, reports: 'The Moulding Expo is a central platform for us to present our technological know-how and to maintain and establish valuable contacts. It plays a crucial role in the exchange within the industry.'
For the first time at the Moulding Expo, Kessler Werkzeugbau AG from Switzerland is exhibiting. Markus Greulich, a member of the management board, justifies the participation as follows: 'Especially in today's uncertain and changing times, it is very important to network the European plastics and tool industry. Europe must stand on its own feet more than ever. To do this, one must know the reliable European partners. These are often small and medium-sized enterprises that can become more visible and be found at the Moulding Expo.' Kessler Werkzeugbau focuses on individual consulting at the fair – for the right technology for each tool. Due to the variety of technical possibilities and technologies, it is often the details that determine the successful use of the tool.
At Lercher Werkzeugbau GmbH, the appearance at the Moulding Expo is marked by the current global and market situation. The assembly of many individual parts and services from global suppliers into a perfect end result no longer works. The best price at the other end of the world often contradicts values such as reliability and predictability that are in demand in Europe. Therefore, the company from Austria consciously offers the 'All-in-one' package of development, design, toolmaking, and plastic injection molding from a single source.
Sandra Ender-Lercher, Management of Lercher Werkzeugbau GmbH, wants to provoke a 'pause for thought' at the trade fair stand:
'We want to take a break, rethink things, bring ourselves as partners into play to renew oneself and outdated ways of thinking. Despite all the digitized communication, personal acquaintance and assessment of new contacts, as well as direct interaction during 'brainstorming', remain essential. A trade fair like the Moulding Expo offers a fantastic platform for this.'
Meusburger Georg GmbH & Co KG has also registered for the Moulding Expo. As a complete provider, the company manufactures standard parts for tool and mold making. Markus Jenny, Head of Product Marketing & Event Management, is convinced of the appeal of the Moulding Expo. 'The Moulding Expo is an optimal trade fair for us due to its location, as many of our customers are based in the southern German region. Thus, it is an excellent opportunity for us to present our latest products and digital solutions for tool and mold making and strengthen our customer relationships.' The trade fair highlight of the Austrian family business is the new nozzle smartFILL 17 mm, which has been specially developed for the smallest applications in the hot runner area.
Due to its compact design, the smartFILL 17mm allows for smaller installation spaces, which is a significant advantage for complex tools. The availability of nozzle lengths from 40 mm to 180 mm allows for more flexible design of tools. Since the new series 17 is interchangeable with series 19, it can be easily integrated into existing systems, thus saving costs.
From clamping devices to machining tools to machine tools, all manufacturing technologies for tool, model, and mold making are represented at the Moulding Expo. Hydraulic cylinders, software, clamping devices, machining tools, and machine tools are presented by AHP Merkle GmbH Hydraulics + Pneumatics, Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn GmbH, PARTOOL GmbH & Co. KG, Röders GmbH, Tebis Technical Information Systems AG, Sodick Deutschland GmbH, and F. Zimmermann GmbH, among others.
