5-axis machining with the ROMI DCM 620

A focus of the trade fair appearance is the new generation of the vertical machining center ROMI DCM 620. The 5-axis machine is designed for machining both simple and complex workpiece geometries and allows for the machining of multiple sides in a single setup.
Fewer setup processes can reduce processing times while also helping to improve dimensional accuracy and surface quality. A powerful main spindle and fast axis movements create the conditions for productive machining.

Measuring and testing systems with laser and ball-bar technology support the verification of positioning and repeat accuracy as well as axis interpolation. This makes the machine concept particularly suitable for applications with high demands on precision and process reliability.

ROMI C470M: Turning and milling on one machine

As a second machine solution, ROMI presents the ROMI C470M from the new generation of the C series. The CNC lathe with driven tools combines traditional turning operations with additional milling operations, providing high flexibility for different manufacturing tasks.
The heavily ribbed cast iron bed ensures high rigidity and good damping properties. Hardened and ground guides with TURCITE coating support precise axis movements even at high accelerations.

The CNC control Siemens 828 supports both CNC machining and machine-near operating functions. This makes the ROMI C470M suitable for the production of individual parts as well as recurring production orders and series.

Precision, stability, and process reliability

In developing its machine tools, ROMI combines many years of experience in machine engineering with its own manufacturing capacities and comprehensive know-how in machining. Robust machine structures, precise guiding systems, and modern CNC technology form the basis for stable and reproducible machining.
