WINEMA closes the gap between turning technology and rotary transfer machines with the RV10 Compactmaster

WINEMA Transfer Machines expands its rotary portfolio with a new machine class: With the RV10 Compactmaster, the manufacturer from Grosselfingen presents a compact rotary machine for the series production of turned parts at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart. According to its own statements, WINEMA deliberately positions the new series between classic single-spindle or long-turning technology and the larger, more complex rotary transfer machines in its existing portfolio.

The RV10 Compactmaster is designed for processing workpieces up to Ø 15 mm and a maximum workpiece length of 80 mm. The machine features six clamping stations; a total of up to 13 machining units can be used simultaneously. As a key figure for manufacturing density, WINEMA cites one spindle per square meter of floor space. Further technical data will be published by the company during the trade fair.

Alternative to long-turning machines

For part of the typical long-turning parts spectrum, the Compactmaster is said to enable more space-saving production: Where it can be used, a higher number of workpieces per square meter can be realized on the same area than with classic long-turning machines.

Alternative to mechanical multi-spindle turning machines

Compared to mechanical multi-spindles, the Compactmaster combines the productivity of rotary production with modern CNC technology, according to WINEMA. This includes individual, tool-optimized cutting values at each machining station as well as a digital user interface that allows access to process parameters, programs, and tool data. According to the manufacturer, process data is also available via an OPC-UA interface for connection to higher-level monitoring systems.

Setup and operation

For setup, WINEMA points to the good accessibility of the working area. Programs as well as tool and process data should be able to be provided in a short time. The machine is controlled via a multi-touch user interface that is intended to allow direct access to the relevant station data.

The RV10 Compactmaster is the third machine class in WINEMA's rotary portfolio. It complements the existing, larger rotary transfer machines of the manufacturer with a more compact version for a part of the market that the company has not previously addressed with this technology.

“We have rethought the rotary transfer,” explains WINEMA Managing Director Eckhard Neth the approach behind the new series. “With the Compactmaster, we specifically close the gap between classic turning technology and complex rotary transfer machines. Companies thus receive an economical entry into rotary technology without having to invest in an oversized system for their parts.”

WINEMA will showcase the RV10 Compactmaster for the first time at AMB 2026 from September 15 to 19 in Stuttgart, Hall 4, Stand 4C62. The manufacturer plans to announce further technical details and figures on application cases during the trade fair.
