The new Pro line expands the application range of the FRANKEN TOP-Cut family with even more powerful cutters. It is suitable for HPC roughing, high-dynamic machining processes, and HSC finishing in a variety of materials. Thanks to optimized microgeometry and a newly developed ALCR coating, the Pro line achieves higher cutting performance, longer tool life, and thus higher process reliability.
The new cutters are initially available in two different lengths. Thanks to the extended cutting and neck relief lengths in the long version, high feed rates and maximum cutting depths are achievable. The 5-flute extra-long version without neck relief offers maximum stability at maximum cutting depth. Centrally arranged chip breakers reliably separate the chips, ensuring safe chip removal.
Especially series manufacturers with medium to large batch sizes benefit from the Pro line due to lower tool and manufacturing costs. In combination with the FRANKEN regrinding service, storage, procurement, and handling efforts can also be sustainably reduced.
