As part of a jointly coordinated succession plan, Edmund Boland succeeds Martin Ripple, who left ANCA at the end of July. The supervisory board and management of ANCA thanked Martin Ripple for his commitment and contribution to the company's development. The handover of leadership responsibility was prepared in a structured transition phase to ensure continuity for customers, employees, and business partners.
Regarding the appointment, Gavin Smith, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at ANCA, stated that Edmund Boland's appointment was unanimously decided due to his proven leadership qualities, deep understanding of products, the operational business, and ANCA's customers. He is the right candidate for the successful further development of the company.
“Edmund combines strategic leadership strength, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the factors that have made ANCA successful for more than five decades. The Board is convinced that he will successfully lead ANCA into the next chapter.”
Edmund Boland has a close connection to ANCA. He already worked in various company areas during school holidays, including manufacturing, warehousing, and the pre-production center. Over the past two decades, he gained experience in finance, procurement, international leadership, and operational management. He held senior positions, including General Manager of ANCA Europe and most recently General Manager of ANCA CNC Machines.
This experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the company's technology, its global processes, and the challenges faced by precision manufacturers worldwide.
Regarding his appointment, Edmund Boland stated that ANCA's success has always relied on strong customer relationships and the commitment to solving complex challenges in manufacturing.
“What I value most about ANCA are our employees, our customers, and the way they utilize our technology. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of spending time with cutting tool manufacturers around the world – getting to know families, exchanging ideas, and witnessing businesses grow. This is how the ANCA family and our founders Pat McCluskey and Pat Boland built this company: by helping customers solve complex problems and succeed. Seeing what our customers achieve with ANCA technology and the support of our global team is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job. I look forward to leading ANCA into the next phase of growth.”
Edmund stated that his priority as CEO is to further strengthen ANCA's leadership position through innovation, quality, and customer service. “My goal is clear: to further strengthen ANCA so that we can continue to lead our industry with innovation, quality, and customer service in the future. As we develop technologies like the MicroX for micro tools and automation with AIMS, we will continue to work side by side with manufacturing companies to solve their current challenges while also developing the innovations they will need tomorrow.”
ANCA co-founder Pat Boland welcomed the appointment and praised Edmund's long-standing commitment to the company and its customers. “I have witnessed over many years how Edmund has earned the respect of our employees, suppliers, and customers. He achieved this through hard work, integrity, and a sincere commitment to helping manufacturing companies succeed. He understands that ANCA is only successful when our customers are successful.”
Pat emphasized that ANCA's commitment goes far beyond machine technology. “At ANCA, we have always believed that building an excellent machine alone is not enough. Our application engineers, service teams, and our aftermarket support are equally important in contributing to our customers' success. This commitment will continue under Edmund's leadership.”
For more than five decades, ANCA has worked with manufacturers worldwide to advance precision tool manufacturing through innovative CNC grinding technology, automation, and software. Under Edmund's leadership, the company will build on this foundation and continue to invest in technologies that will shape the future of manufacturing.
