On June 9 and 10, 2026, it will be here: The Make-to-Order Days (MTO Days) will launch a new trade fair format for precision parts, contract manufacturing, and machining at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds. This will provide a dedicated trade fair for an industry sector that has been under significant innovation and adaptation pressure for years.

The new buyer's fair is specifically aimed at decision-makers and buyers from future-oriented key industries – from traditional mechanical engineering to automotive technology, defense, robotics, and renewable energies. The focus is on order-related precision manufacturing, whose importance for global value chains is steadily increasing. 'Technological upheavals, geopolitical challenges, and the transformation of entire industries present many manufacturing companies with significant tasks. With the Make-to-Order Days, we are creating a platform that responds precisely to these changes – closely aligned with the needs of the industry and with a clear focus on the future,' says Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart.

Clear message from the industry: Backbone of industry in focus

From the perspective of the Machining Technology Cluster, clear positioning is paramount. 'As a significant economic factor, we are constantly striving for innovative developments, new economic areas, additional business fields, and future-oriented technologies. As a partner of the new buyer's fair MTO Days in Stuttgart, we offer our members ideal conditions and opportunities,' emphasizes Ingo Hell, Chairman of the Board of the Machining Technology Cluster.

The partner associations also welcome the new trade fair format. Werner Liebmann, Managing Director of the Association of the German Turned Parts Industry, emphasizes: 'The Make-to-Order Days provide our industry with an important platform. Order-related manufacturing is the backbone of many key industries – and with this format, it receives the necessary attention and networking.'

'Messe Stuttgart has been a reliable partner for us for many years – and especially in the strong industrial location of Baden-Württemberg with its ideal infrastructure, the conditions for the Make-to-Order Days are perfect. Order-related parts manufacturing has always been an important field of activity for toolmakers, as all competencies and high-end precision are part of their daily business. Therefore, we are convinced of the concept of the fair:

The MTO Days offer the opportunity to present the services offered on a professional platform. We are happy to be a partner and support this strong format with full conviction.' Ralf Dürrwächter, Managing Director of the Association of German Tool and Mould Makers.

Added value through synergies: three trade fairs in parallel

A special advantage: The Make-to-Order Days will take place in parallel with CastForge, the International Trade Fair for Cast and Forged Parts with Machining, and The Battery Show Europe. This creates valuable synergies for exhibitors as well as for visitors. Especially in adjacent technology fields, where precise manufacturing plays a central role, new points of connection and interdisciplinary exchange opportunities arise.

Clear structures for maximum visibility

For exhibitors, the Make-to-Order Days offer a unique, clearly structured stand concept that is specifically designed for efficient business initiation. Thanks to a detailed performance specification with information on application areas, manufacturing processes, materials, certifications, and batch sizes, potential customers can already identify suitable providers in advance and ideally prepare for their trade fair visit. This not only creates random trade fair contacts but also exactly the right connections for sustainable business. Another highlight is the stand construction concept with all-in packages: Uniform, modern design ensures equality and discretion among all exhibiting companies. Service and communication measures are integrated, as well as organizational relief. This allows exhibitors to focus entirely on what matters – initiating business with the right partners.

Supporting program with a practical focus

In addition to the classic product showcase, the new trade fair format emphasizes knowledge transfer and networking. A specialist forum addresses central topics related to digitization, precision, and manufacturing trends in a practical manner. The networking area and separate meeting rooms provide optimal conditions for personal conversations, confidential negotiations, and business deals.
