On July 22, 2025, the MATEC Service Day at SHW Werkzeugmaschinen in Aalen celebrated its successful premiere – and was also the first event since the company's takeover by SFO Munich. Numerous customers and partners from the mechanical engineering sector followed the invitation to learn firsthand about the new service orientation.
The event was opened by Michael Klatt, CFO of SHW Holding, who emphasized the importance of a powerful, customer-oriented service for the future viability of the entire group in his welcome speech. The focus of the day was the official presentation of the newly founded MATEC Service GmbH, which will bundle all service activities related to MATEC machines in the future.
The new company sees itself as a competent partner for existing customers – with a comprehensive range of services: maintenance, repair, spare parts supply, training, and individual retrofit and modernization concepts are the focus. The presentation impressively demonstrated how MATEC Service GmbH aims to increase efficiency and responsiveness – with a clear focus on customer satisfaction and long-term machine availability.
A special highlight of the day was the exhibition of two nearly new used machines, which sparked great interest among the visitors. Technical contacts were available on-site for professional discussions and demonstrated specific application possibilities and availabilities. In an open and pleasant atmosphere, many guests took the opportunity for conversations, exchanges, and networking. The MATEC Service Day thus provided not only firsthand information but also direct access to technology and the new service team.
The consistently positive feedback makes it clear: The demand for reliable machine service is high – MATEC Service GmbH and SHW Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH are making a strong statement for customer orientation, quality, and future viability.
