With the new Multiroll CU LF Special, Zeller+Gmelin expands its Multiroll product line with an innovative high-performance lubricant for the wire industry. This new development specifically targets manufacturers of casting rolled wires who place great importance on process stability, low maintenance effort, and excellent surface quality. The production of casting rolled wires from copper requires precisely coordinated processes – especially in the lubrication and cooling of the rolling aggregates. With Multiroll CU LF Special (Item No. 2650), Zeller+Gmelin now brings a fully synthetic, water-miscible solution to the market that precisely meets the specific requirements of this application.

Constant emulsion stability – even under high thermal stress
Multiroll CU LF Special was specifically developed for rolling processes at temperatures between 40 to 47 °C. In this range, the emulsion remains stable and retains its optimal cooling and lubrication properties over a long period. A particular advantage lies in the high pH stability (pH 8.3 at 3% solution), which allows for long-term use without frequent re-adjustments. At the same time, the emulsion effectively protects the rolling equipment from corrosion and wear – even under continuously high loads.
Shiny results – minimal residues
Another performance feature is the excellent surface quality of the produced wire. The drawing agent ensures a long-term bright shiny wire surface that meets the highest optical and functional requirements. The amine-free formulation also reduces copper absorption and oxygen content – meaning less residue, lower machine load, and no staining on the final product. This material preservation also positively affects the lifespan of the rolls: Due to the high wear protection, service times can be significantly extended – another plus in terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
