Numerous customers, partners, employees, and representatives of the city government attended the opening of Zeller+Gmelin (Huzhou) Co., Ltd. The new location in the economically emerging Nan Taihu New District (Zhejiang Province) marks an important milestone in the company's China strategy.
The modern facility in Huzhou is designed for the production of high-quality lubricants for the Chinese market. The focus is on applications in the automotive industry, wire drawing and textile sectors, as well as metal processing. With the new plant, Zeller+Gmelin reaffirms its long-term commitment to one of the world's most dynamic growth markets – and specifically emphasizes local proximity, delivery capability, and flexibility.
Clear location concept: Production in Huzhou, sales in Suzhou The new production site complements the already established sales and customer center in Suzhou. While consulting, service, and order coordination will continue there, Huzhou will focus on manufacturing in the future. This clear division of tasks strengthens the group's service portfolio and improves supply security for customers in China.
Festive kickoff with cultural program

The opening ceremony combined economic significance with cultural elements. Traditional lion dances, the symbolic ribbon cutting, and speeches from company and government representatives gave the event a festive and dignified framework.
Siegfried Müller, Sales Manager of Zeller+Gmelin GmbH & Co. KG, emphasized in his speech the strategic importance of the location for the company's international orientation. Zeller+Gmelin General Manager Marc-Tran Heller praised in Chinese the close cooperation with local partners and authorities and particularly highlighted the achievements of the dedicated team on site.
Strategic milestone for the Asia business

With the new location in Huzhou, Zeller+Gmelin strengthens its presence in Asia and thus sends a clear signal for further growth, according to the headquarters in Swabian Eislingen. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art production technology and is operated by a qualified, locally anchored team. Huzhou is expected to develop into a central hub within the Asia strategy in the future. The successful implementation of the project is the result of close, cross-location collaboration between the teams in Germany, Suzhou, and Huzhou.
