The measuring device MarSurf MC 510 is completely integrated into the tool holder, where it measures using a vibration-resistant, tactile probing system – compliant with standards and highly accurate up to Rz 1 µm.
The MarSurf MC 510 is quickly and conveniently available in the machining machine: When a roughness measurement is to be performed, the machine tool automatically swaps the measuring device from the tool magazine into the spindle like a regular machining tool. Various tool holders are available as interfaces, including types SK 40 and HSK-A 63. Once the measuring device is ready, the operator can easily align it via the software-controlled, flexible swivel joint. The measuring movement is carried out by the integrated feed drive, with the CNC machine positioning the device at the measurement point.
Robust and Powerful
Thanks to its robust design, the MarSurf MC 510 is securely protected against contamination. The automated process ensures quick measurement of surface characteristics and precisely reproducible measurements without operator influence. No expertise in measurement technology is necessary, as its use occurs without direct intervention. Additionally, a conclusion about tool wear is possible, which reduces tool costs.
Ideal for Automated Manufacturing Processes
The machining processes in the CNC machine remain flexible, as the measuring device is directly controlled; the measurement data output occurs in NC code. The MarSurf MC 510 communicates wirelessly via Bluetooth® wireless technology with the Edge-PC. It also features an OPC UA interface and is closed-loop ready. Finally, the documentation of surface characteristics is fully automated and secure, requiring no expert knowledge. Overall, the device is thus ideally suited for automated manufacturing processes – independent of machine and control. The MarSurf MC 510 offers reproducible measurement conditions without operator influence – process-safe, flexible, and efficient.
