With the new indexable insert WPR-AP, LMT Kieninger, a member of the LMT Tools group, expands its portfolio with a powerful and versatile solution for finishing and semi-finishing. The optimized cutting geometry, the newly developed cutting material LCHK05M, and the innovative Nanomold Red³ coating enable high performance and cutting speeds – while ensuring high process reliability, a 30% longer tool life, and excellent surface quality.
Economic Alternative to Solid Carbide Tools
In addition to its high performance capability, the WPR-AP impresses with its cost-effectiveness. As an indexable insert solution, it offers users an attractive alternative to solid carbide tools and allows for more cost-efficient implementation of numerous solid carbide applications. The transition is particularly easy: the new ball copy cutting edge is fully compatible with the existing holder systems from LMT Kieninger. Whether screw holders, steel holders, or solid carbide holders – users can choose the holder best suited to their requirements and continue to use existing systems.
Universal Finishing
The WPR-AP is designed for machining steel, cast steel, high-temperature-resistant materials, and hardened steels up to 60 HRC, thus covering a wide range of applications for demanding machining tasks. Typical areas of application can be found in die and mold making, mechanical engineering, and energy technology.
Performance and Process Reliability
“With the WPR-AP, we offer our customers a powerful universal solution for finishing and semi-finishing, with which they can increase their productivity and reduce their tool costs,” says Jens Slaby, Head of Product Line Indexable Milling at LMT Tools. “Wherever precision, process reliability, and cost efficiency are required, the new ball copy cutting edge shows its strengths. Never before has the transition from solid carbide tools to modern indexable insert copy milling cutters been so easy.”
The indexable insert is available in sizes from 10 mm to 32 mm.
