When the international machining industry meets at AMB in Stuttgart from September 15 to 19, 2026, one topic will be particularly in focus: How can productivity, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability be reconciled? This is where ISCAR comes in. Under the motto MAXVALUE, the tool specialist presents solutions that enable maximum performance with minimal raw material, energy, and resource use in Hall 1, Stand 1E50.

Instead of changing the entire tool, users only need to replace the small carbide head of the QUICK-3-CHAM during insert change. This reduces carbide consumption, lowers tool costs, is user-friendly, and minimizes downtime. ©Iscar

The demand for tungsten and cobalt is rising, as are delivery times and energy prices. As a result, carbide is becoming scarce and an expensive commodity. Therefore, ISCAR is showcasing its innovative tool concepts for drilling, milling, turning, and grooving at AMB, which offer maximum performance and cost-effectiveness with minimal raw material use. This is made possible by systems with interchangeable cutting heads, optimized indexable inserts, and more cutting edges per insert.

Interchangeable head systems reduce material consumption

A highlight at the trade fair stand is, for example, the interchangeable head drills of the QUICK-3-CHAM series. Here, users only replace the carbide head instead of the entire tool. This saves material, reduces costs, and minimizes downtime. At the same time, the system ensures high precision and flexibility. Visitors can get to know the new F3B drill head from the LOGIQUICK campaign at AMB, which allows for process-safe drilling of eccentrically positioned holes.

With the modular MULTI-MASTER tools, ISCAR focuses on maximum versatility. The wide range of designs makes them a proven solution for finishing and roughing all materials. Here too, only the milling head is changed. This saves carbide and increases flexibility. New is an interchangeable head for high-feed milling with six cutting edges and diameters ranging from five to 25 millimeters. It enables high feed rates with stable processes.

More cutting edges get the maximum out

For turning, parting, and grooving applications, ISCAR showcases its versatile PENTACUT family. Five edges per insert optimally utilize the material. For example, particularly high raw material savings can be achieved with the PENTA 27. The plate, which is up to 20 millimeters wide, replaces five large individual cutting edges. Thanks to the clever design, users minimize downtime during insert changes with the PENTACUT. They only need to rotate the insert and can immediately continue working without re-measuring.

At the ISCAR stand, interested parties can also get an impression of the LOGIQ-6-TURN indexable inserts. The triangular insert is equipped with six 55-degree cutting edges for roughing and finishing. The special design with optimized chip breakers and stable clamping allows for a smooth cut, reduces the forces involved, ensures very good chip breaking, and provides excellent surface qualities.
