EVO customers can now automatically transmit their financial accounting data directly to DATEV Unternehmen online. This saves time and costs for the recording of receipts and booking data with the tax advisor or in internal financial accounting.
The networking between systems is progressing. For standardized data exchange, API integrations (Application Programming Interface) are used – on the way to a seamless and continuous digitization of financial accounting. DATEV is one of the leading financial accounting systems and is also very popular among tax consultancies. EVO Informationssysteme has now realized the new connection via the DATEV Cloud API alongside the existing data transmission via the DATEV file interface. After passing the DATEV acceptance for the sandbox environment, EVO has received the upgrade to the production environment in the DATEV Developer Portal.
With the new interface, EVO customers can now transmit their invoice data and receipts directly and automatically to DATEV Unternehmen online – without manual intermediate steps, without media breaks. This makes EVO one of the software manufacturers connected to the DATEV ecosystem via the DATEV Developer Portal, enabling a continuous digital data exchange for companies and their tax advisors.
In practice, the connection is made via the DATEV Cloud API using OAuth2 authorization. The transmission of the relevant data is initiated at the push of a button from the EVO FiBu export and then runs automatically from EVO to DATEV. Both document receipts (e.g., invoice PDFs) are transmitted online to DATEV Unternehmen, as well as booking data in DATEV-EXTF format. The assignment between the booking entry and the receipt is done automatically via the receipt link reference contained in the booking data. The only requirement for using this time-saving function is a DATEV user with the necessary rights for the booking data service.
The first customers will soon use the new API function in everyday life to gain valuable experience in live operations. In the next three months, the final production acceptance by DATEV and by the end customer from the pilot deployment is pending.
Jürgen Widmann, founder and managing director of EVO: “With the launch of the new DATEV interface, we are creating real added value in daily business for our customers: Booking data and receipts reach their destination without detours and without manual effort – directly to the tax consultancy.”
