Visitors from 59 countries traveled to Stuttgart. The strongest representation came from Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, and Turkey. With a 38 percent share of international visitors, GrindingHub once again underscored its claim as a central international meeting point for the grinding technology community. The quality of the visitors was also impressive. 82 percent of respondents indicated they were involved in purchasing and procurement decisions. Of those, 37 percent are already planning to invest in the next six months. 'This is an important signal for the industry,' comments Heering. 'Companies are specifically investing in productivity, efficiency, and future viability. GrindingHub provides the right framework for this.'

Importance of the trade fair remains strong

As with the two previous events, visitors rated GrindingHub positively in the visitor survey. Many exhibitors share this impression. The 462 companies from 28 countries presented solutions, products, and technologies along the entire process chain of grinding – from grinding machines and grinding tools to automation, measurement technology, and software, as well as digitalization, process peripherals, and services. The high participation of exhibitors had already sent a strong signal in advance: GrindingHub 2026 was fully booked by exhibitors and occupied three exhibition halls. It once again provided companies with excellent opportunities to meet existing customers, make new contacts, and initiate concrete projects – from the international market leader to the young technology company. This is also confirmed by Felipe Levin, Managing Director of Geibel & Hotz GmbH: 'GrindingHub is more than just a trade fair for us – it is a central platform and an important forum for direct and specialized exchange with interested parties and customers, as well as with partners and suppliers. It clearly shows how much innovation and dynamism is present in our industry.'

GrindingHub Americas meets with great exhibitor interest

The strong participation of exhibitors and the high international quality of visitors show: GrindingHub has established itself as a platform for grinding technology. This concept is now gaining importance beyond Europe. Under the claim 'Where precision meets progress', GrindingHub Americas will be the first trade fair dedicated exclusively to grinding technology and related processes. The premiere will take place from May 18 to 20, 2027, in Cincinnati, Ohio. 'The response to our information event about GrindingHub Americas was extraordinarily positive,' emphasizes Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart. 'The full auditorium and the great interest from exhibiting companies show that the concept of GrindingHub is also meeting strong demand in the North American market. This reinforces our course and makes us very optimistic about GrindingHub Americas 2027.'

Practical relevance as a success factor of GrindingHub

The fact that the concept of GrindingHub is effective in Stuttgart and simultaneously opens up international perspectives is also due to its consistent practical relevance. This was particularly evident in the supporting program in 2026. A special thematic highlight of the fair was the newly established Grinding Solution Forum. It focused on concrete industrial challenges and practical solution approaches. The forum addressed key questions in the industry: process stability, quality, automation, data, digitalization, AI, cost-effectiveness, and future perspectives of grinding technology. The Nachwuchswettbewerb Grinder of the Year 2026 also provided young talents with the opportunity to showcase their skills. The winner, Fabio Schoppet from K.-H. Müller Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH, was awarded an education voucher worth 3,000 euros. Additionally, the joint stands Grinding Solution Park Industry, Grinding Solution Park Science, Grinding Pavilion Switzerland, and StartupHub brought together industry, research, young companies, and international partners in a compact manner. It became evident across all formats how strongly efficiency, networking, and digital applications shape the further development of grinding technology. The premiere of the AI-based chatbot Hubi also fit this theme. It assisted visitors in finding exhibitors, technologies, and applications, thus facilitating individual trade fair planning.

Grinding technology community looks ahead

'With the third edition, GrindingHub has further solidified its role as the international leading trade fair for grinding technology,' summarizes Heering. 'It brings together manufacturers, users, research, startups, and international partners – creating exactly the exchange that the industry needs for its further development.' Christoph Blättler from Swissmem, the association of the Swiss tech industry and conceptual sponsor of GrindingHub, agrees. 'For all manufacturers and users of grinding technology, GrindingHub is undeniably the 'place to be'. Anyone who hasn't been here yet should definitely be there next time.' The next opportunity will be at GrindingHub from May 16 to 19, 2028.
