MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 will take place at the end of September and presents Turkey as a strategic production location between Europe and Asia. More than half of the available exhibition space was reserved within just 45 days. The focus of the event is on machine tools, digital production systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 will be held from September 28 to October 3, 2026, at the Tuyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul. The fair brings together manufacturers, technology providers, and trade delegations from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.
The fair is organized by Tuyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in collaboration with the Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TIAD) and is supported by the Turkish Machine Manufacturers Association (MIB) and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey. The motto 'Turkey is the Key' aims to underline Turkey's strategic role against the backdrop of changing global production patterns as a regional production and logistics center.
Rising Costs Change Production Strategy
Rising energy and personnel costs continue to pose significant challenges for many European manufacturers. Industrial production in the European Union has only partially recovered in 2024 and 2025.
In response, many companies are accelerating their nearshoring strategies and diversifying their supply chains. Companies are increasingly reviewing their dependence on long logistics routes and geopolitical risks in Asia. They are looking for locations that are close to European markets, have a stable industrial infrastructure, and offer competitive cost structures.
Turkey, which is part of the EU Customs Union for industrial goods and is located at the intersection of European and Asian markets, is increasingly coming into focus.
'At a time when global production structures are being redefined, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 sends a clear strategic message to the international business world: Turkey has strong production capacities, efficient logistics, qualified professionals, and a competitive cost structure,' said Ilhan Ersozlulu, Managing Director at Tuyap Fairs Production Inc. 'For companies in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, Turkey is a reliable, sustainable, and long-term partner for industry and trade.'
Focus on Advanced Manufacturing
MAKTEK 2026 places a clear focus on future-oriented manufacturing systems under the motto 'DAHA' (German: 'more'), which stands for an industry that produces faster, more efficiently, more precisely, and more intelligently.
The range of exhibits includes CNC machine tools and sheet metal processing systems as well as robotics, automation solutions, and software for digital manufacturing. Additionally, applications from the fields of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 are in focus, including digital twins and data-driven production models.
MAKTEKVERSE Expands the Fair Format
With MAKTEKVERSE, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 expands its fair format to include an interactive innovation platform that goes beyond traditional product presentations. The Tech-Force Area provides space for study projects, start-ups, and engineering-driven innovations. In the Effect-Force Area, franchise discussions and knowledge exchange take place.
'Our goal is to bring established manufacturers together with young engineers and technology developers. This supports efforts in Europe and neighboring regions to counteract the skilled labor shortage in advanced manufacturing,' said Ersozlulu.
Strong Demand
MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 is already seeing significant interest in its early phase. According to the organizer, 52% of the exhibition space was sold within the first 45 days. The occupancy rate is expected to exceed 70% after the initial contracts are finalized.
Alongside the fair, partner country programs, delegation meetings, and targeted B2B events are planned to promote cross-border trade relations between European and Eurasian manufacturers.
The fair will be open daily from September 28 to October 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and on October 3 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
