WTO, the world's leading provider of precision tool holders for turning centers based in Ohlsbach, Germany, celebrates the opening of its new North American headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the 30th anniversary of WTO USA.
On September 10, 2025, invited guests, customers, and partners gathered to inaugurate the new building, designed by the renowned architecture firm Grossmann Group. The new company headquarters is a symbol of 30 successful years in the North American market.
The American subsidiary WTO Inc. was founded in 1995 by Sascha Tschiggfrei, second-generation owner, to provide precision tools made in Germany with first-class, customer-oriented service.
The new, over 2,000 m² large, state-of-the-art building features modern offices, a fully equipped repair service center, a large warehouse, and a showroom for product training.
"With our new headquarters in the USA and the local service center, we ensure that we serve our customers in North America as quickly and professionally as they expect from a globally positioned market leader. This builds on the success of the past 30 years in the USA and sets the course for further growth," emphasizes Sascha Tschiggfrei, owner and managing director of WTO.
The new building offers numerous advantages for US customers:

- Large product and spare parts warehouse for fast and reliable delivery
- In-house service for the maintenance of driven tool holders
- Training on product applications in the on-site showroom
In addition to the USA, WTO has a service center in Shanghai, China, and at the headquarters in Ohlsbach. The tool holders are manufactured 100% at the headquarters in Ohlsbach, Germany. This allows WTO to be globally positioned to serve customers from Europe, North America, and Asia.
