The cooperation combines the complementary expertise of two specialists in the field of carbide micro-tools. ALFATOOL SA, like ZECHA, specializes in the development and manufacturing of precision tools made of solid carbide. Their tools are characterized by high-gloss polished surfaces, perfect cutting edges, and exceptionally long tool life – manufactured with the latest CNC machines and innovative manufacturing technology. The product range includes micro-mills, engraving mills, roughing mills, drills, and circular saws.
A special highlight of ALFATOOL tools is the variety of specialized high-performance coatings that are specifically tailored to various materials and applications:
• TiAlN Coating (Titanium Aluminum Nitride, latest generation): A thin, smooth coating with excellent temperature resistance – ideal for all types of steel and stainless steels as well as titanium and nickel alloys. As a universal grade, it is suitable for both finishing and roughing milling.
• STF Coating (new): An innovative high-performance coating specifically developed for extreme materials such as chrome/nickel steels, stainless steels, titanium, and zirconium alloys. It is the first choice for particularly demanding materials in precision machining.
• TiCN Coating (Titanium Carbo Nitride, latest generation): This also thin and smooth coating is excellently suited for finishing milling of all steels as well as stainless steels and shows its strengths particularly in tool diameters in the micro range of 0.02 to 0.90 mm.
• ALFATOP Coating: An extra thin high-performance coating with an extremely low friction coefficient – specifically for noble, non-ferrous, and abrasive materials such as gold, silver, lead-free brass, copper, aluminum, carbon fiber, mother-of-pearl, and various polymers. The coating guarantees perfectly smooth cutting angles, excellent edge sharpness, and significantly extended tool life.
