Achieving more together (customers)
The cooperation between HB Microtec and Müller brings both companies strategic and technological advantages. In the future, HB Microtec will be able to manufacture its special tools with a diameter over 6 mm in series at Müller in Sien. By utilizing the state-of-the-art production facility, HB Microtec can significantly increase the quantity. Müller, in turn, benefits from improved machine utilization and a larger solution portfolio. 'Müller's experts are not only excellently networked throughout Germany but also in neighboring countries. This allows us to significantly increase our reach while also tapping into the extensive consulting expertise of Müller’s experts in the companies. Manufacturing companies that process titanium alloys, cobalt-chromium, and heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant steel alloys will particularly benefit from this,' confirms Robert Bede, owner and managing director at HB Microtec.
'We are always open to exploring new ways to strengthen our location and market presence. Therefore, the cooperation with HB Microtec is a strategic decision for the future: not only regarding new markets but especially concerning future tool developments,' emphasizes Mathias Schmidt, managing director of Müller Precision Tools.
The two partners plan to advance joint developments in the future. For example, they aim to optimize tool coatings and surface treatments together to further increase tool lifetimes. The development of combination tools for small series production is also planned to reduce processing times and further enhance cost-effectiveness for manufacturing companies.
'We have been working intensively for years on the future of our tools and the tool industry itself. In addition to research projects, partnerships are also an important lever. With HB Microtec, we have found a partner that is well-networked in the region of Tuttlingen, which is particularly important for medical technology, and brings a high level of know-how. The collaboration is a win-win situation for all parties involved. Not just for us and HB Microtec, but also for the customers,' highlights Mathias Schmidt.
