The new product is based on the long-successful Flexline system. It has been specifically developed for higher loads and demanding operating conditions. It is equipped with a stainless steel pull-push chain, reinforced stops, additional querying options, and improved emergency operation. It is available in numerous variants that can be configured individually for customers.
Flexline R is suitable for all applications with frequent tool changes, especially for use in automated press lines.
Higher load capacity, reliable sensors, and improved emergency operation
The core of the new version is a welded stainless steel pull-push chain. It replaces the previous plastic variant and ensures maximum stability and durability even under harsh conditions. The chain box, all holders, and the sheet metal parts are also made of reinforced stainless steel and are designed for robust operating scenarios.
Moreover, the new system offers improved position monitoring: A highly precise magnetic field sensor detects the parking position, while the inductive sensor reports the position of the clamping element on the tool. Optionally, the end position of the chain can also be queried using integrated sensors in the chain box.
New are also reinforced holders for position monitoring – for maximum operational safety. An emergency release on the drive motor provides additional safety in case of failure. If necessary, the tool can be manually released.
Flexibly configurable
Flexline R is available with two adjustment paths – 660 and 1100 millimeters – and can be combined with four different clamping elements. Depending on the requirements, single or double-acting hollow piston cylinders with up to 104 kW clamping force and operating pressures of 245 or 400 bar are available. The motor can be mounted on the left or right. The querying positions are also freely selectable.
Low installation height, easy maintenance
Thanks to its compact design, low weight, and the use of low-maintenance modules, Flexline R is configured for the demanding requirements of modern press lines. The components can be easily exchanged, simplifying service and reducing downtime. The electrical interface is via Harting connectors with protection class IP65. Custom color and branding design is optionally possible.
Simple operation
In Flexline R, the pull chain driven by an electric motor automatically moves the hollow piston cylinder mounted on the system from the parking position to the tool edge and back again. At the same time, it serves as a hydraulic and electrical line to the clamping element. A separate energy supply is therefore unnecessary. It is guided in the T-slot of the machine and is compatible with sizes of 28 and 36 mm as well as 1 1/16".
