In the metalworking industry, the 5-axis centering clamps SOLIDGrip from HWR already enjoy an excellent reputation: solid, robust, reduced to the essentials, and yet versatile. A new model expands the spectrumwww.hwr.de of the flexible all-rounder: SOLIDGrip MAXX. The 'big brother' enables clamping of large workpieces that exceed the previous maximum clamping range of 355 mm.

With the zero-point and embossing clamping technology of the SOLIDLine product family, HWR has established itself as an innovative and resourceful developer of clamping tools. Continuous optimizations and additions are part of the DNA of the specialists from Northern Germany.

The latest development is the 5-axis centering clamp SOLIDGrip MAXX. It expands the existing SOLIDGrip series with four coordinated and ascending sizes, with which even larger components can be perfectly and precisely clamped. While clamping of workpieces up to 355 mm was previously possible, SOLIDGrip MAXX now offers users clamping ranges up to 500 mm, 600 mm, 700 mm, and even up to 800 mm. Existing clamps can also be easily and cost-effectively upgraded to SOLIDGrip MAXX.

Embossing technology for perfect hold and high clamping force

A special feature of the 5-axis centering clamps from HWR comes into play in combination with the innovative embossing station SOLIDStamp: With SOLIDStamp, the raw parts receive an embossing outside the centering clamp in seconds. The SOLIDGrip clamping jaws with the corresponding holding profile then form a form fit that holds the raw part perfectly and securely in position. The advantage: No large holding forces need to be generated within the clamping tool itself. Force translators or similar aids, as required in conventional clamping methods, are eliminated. This is why the SOLIDGrip clamps are built so compactly and are designed to be almost contour-free. In the new SOLIDGrip MAXX, in addition to the option of clamping in the pre-embossed holding profile, there is also the possibility to clamp the workpiece directly with newly developed holding jaws.
