"The Formnext emphasizes that it is indispensable even in very challenging times for the AM industry," says Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. "The diversity of our existing and new exhibitors is proof that additive manufacturing offers excellent business opportunities for companies along the entire process chain," adds Petra Haarburger, President, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
Therefore, among the already registered exhibitors are not only the world elite of additive manufacturing such as 3D Systems, Additive Industries, Alphacam, Arburg, Bambu Lab, BLT, Colibrium Additive, DMG Mori, DyeMansion, EOS, Evonik, Farsoon, Formlabs, HBD, Henkel, Höganäs, HP, KraussMaffei, Linde, Materialise, Meltio, Nikon SLM Solutions, Oerlikon, Polymaker, Prusa, Renishaw, Ricoh, Sandvik, Siemens, Sisma, SMS Group, Stratasys, Trumpf, Voxeljet, and Xjet, but also numerous companies that have established themselves in other industrial sectors and see the annually double-digit growing market of additive manufacturing as a very interesting sales market. With products specifically developed for 3D printing, these companies also ensure that the industry continues to advance its industrialization and growth.
Internationality and high satisfaction rates
Of the exhibitors registered so far, 65 percent come from abroad. Important exhibitor countries, in addition to Germany, China, and the USA, include this year's partner country Spain, as well as Italy, France, and Great Britain. The very solid development of Formnext is also based on an extremely positive response from exhibitors and visitors: A full 88 percent of exhibitors were satisfied or very satisfied with their participation in Formnext 2024, according to the results of the customer survey for Formnext 2024. Among the 34,404 visitors, this figure was even 96 percent. The analysis also shows the outstanding position of Formnext in the AM industry: 38 percent of trade visitors can only be reached through Formnext because they do not attend any other trade fair.
Exciting new exhibitors show the dynamics of the AM world
Although there has been talk of a consolidation in the AM industry over the past 12 months, especially the new exhibitors (companies that have not participated as exhibitors at Formnext in previous years) demonstrate the innovative dynamics with which the AM world continues to evolve. At this early point in the year, new exhibitors from 15 nations have already registered: In addition to numerous Western European countries and China, the USA, Korea, Romania, and Turkey are also represented. The new exhibitors cover all areas of the process chain: For example, German companies Oscar PLT, Layer Performance, thyssenkrupp Materials Trading, and REM Surface Engineering offer innovative solutions in the areas of AM systems, slicing software, materials, and surface processing. Schunk Ingenieurkeramik specializes in the production of ceramics. Companies also show a wide portfolio in terms of the size of components - such as the Romanian dental laboratory Labvision-Dent or the Italian company MOI Composites with the 3D printing of boats.
"This range also shows that the world of additive manufacturing continually offers companies new applications and business opportunities, which they can further explore, among other things, by participating in Formnext," says Christoph Stüker, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
Thus, Formnext 2025 already promises a wealth of innovations that will enable new applications in numerous industries.
