The Japanese company strengthens its European presence through investments in innovation and digitalization.

BIG DAISHOWA, a leading global provider of precision tool systems for metal processing, is driving innovation and operational efficiency through a strategic reorganization of its European presence. This includes extensive investments in research, logistics, and production. As of January 1, 2025, BIG KAISER Europe will be renamed BIG DAISHOWA Europe. This step strengthens the company's global brand presence and solidifies its position as a leading provider of innovative tool solutions.

    Strengthening research and development (R&D): The R&D center in Rümlang, Switzerland, will become the global competence center of the BIG DAISHOWA Group, focusing on digital and automated tool solutions.

  • Optimization of global production: The manufacturing of spindle tools will be relocated to Japan to enhance supply chain efficiency. Assembly and customer service for Europe will remain in Switzerland.
  • Expansion of European infrastructure: The opening of a new European headquarters with a logistics center in Germany is planned for 2026 to further improve customer service and operational efficiency.

The research center in Switzerland will particularly focus on digital innovations such as the EWE drilling heads and the fully automatic EWA fine drilling heads, further establishing Switzerland as an important location for cutting-edge precision technologies.
