From Wednesday to Friday, April 9 to 11, the DST Turning and Machining Days Southwest 2025 will take place at the Villingen-Schwenningen exhibition grounds. There, KNOLL Maschinenbau, Bad Saulgau, will present efficient components for machining – including the retrofittable high-pressure unit family LubiCool, which enables a significant increase in productivity for many machining processes. Other highlights include the KNOLL AerosolMasterTM for dry lubrication, which directs the finest lubricant particles directly to the cutting edge of the tool, and the KNOLL Click.it system, where a button transmits information simply and efficiently in real-time.
The Turning and Machining Days in Villingen-Schwenningen are known as a meeting point for practitioners and decision-makers. There, in a region where numerous companies are engaged in metal processing, they can inform themselves about the latest solutions for turning and machining technology right at their doorstep. The range of topics at the fair extends from machine tools, precision tools, and peripheral equipment to software, control, and automation systems.

When it comes to efficient machining, the latest filter and pump developments from KNOLL Maschinenbau are a must. The Bad Saulgau company will present the retrofittable high-pressure unit family LubiCool in Hall D, Stand D135, which supplies the coolant under high pressure of up to 150 bar. Each LubiCool unit also includes a filter that ensures the necessary high-quality cleaning of the medium (emulsion or oil).
In addition to the proven variants S and M, a LubiCool-L will be presented at the fair, which has undergone a functional improvement. While the original version was limited to one high-pressure and one low-pressure pump, the L unit now comes with a second high-pressure pump. This allows the new LubiCool-L to supply lathes with two turrets, each requiring a high-pressure pump.
Successful alternative to KSS and MMS use
Numerous machining cases can be handled more economically without coolant. KNOLL demonstrates this at the fair with its AerosolMasterTM systems. These devices are based on aerosol dry lubrication (ATS), where the finest lubricant particles are directed directly to the cutting edge of the tool. This system prevents heat generation in the machining contact zone.
In light of the low lubricant consumption, the provisioning and disposal costs are reduced to almost zero. And regarding energy efficiency, the AerosolMasterTM systems show great potential: The energy consumption per machine is up to 60 percent lower compared to central KSS systems. All KNOLL AerosolMasterTM products – an AerosolMasterTM 4000 ATS will be on display at the fair – are easy to operate and versatile: as tool protectors, for best surfaces, or maximized feed rates.
Click.it – Easy data communication
Also in terms of automation, KNOLL is an innovative pioneer. To set processes in production and intralogistics in motion effortlessly and efficiently, KNOLL developed a button system that transmits information easily at the push of a button. Click.it, the name of the hardware and software available in three expansion stages, has become a hit since its initial presentation last autumn. A special feature: Click.it can be specifically adapted to challenges in various application areas – from quick material requests to detailed condition monitoring.
