The previous LiCON MT GmbH & Co. KG will henceforth operate under the name LiCON MT GmbH. The adjustment of the legal form takes place in the context of the acquisition by the Swedish Modig Group, which will be completed in early 2026, and creates the organizational prerequisites to consistently continue the successful development of the company within the corporate group.
For customers, business partners, and employees, nothing changes: contacts, contracts, products, and services remain unchanged. The strategic direction and the usual high standards of quality, innovation, and customer proximity will also be seamlessly continued.
The renaming is directly related to the acquisition of the company in early 2026 and is another step in the organizational integration into the corporate group. With the new legal form, the corporate structures will be adapted to the current ownership conditions, creating the prerequisites for efficient and long-term corporate management.
A central component of the corporate strategy remains the location in Laupheim. This is where LiCON's roots lie, where innovative machining solutions are developed, produced, and delivered to customers worldwide. The headquarters will continue to be the center for development, production, and service, and thus the heart of the company.
The name LiCON MT will be consciously retained. The abbreviation MT stands for 'Machine Tools' and highlights the company's focus on high-precision machining centers and modern manufacturing technologies. The LiCON brand stands for technical competence, reliability, and collaborative partnership worldwide.
