
With the new 3D-printed HELIDO end mills with JHP cooling, ISCAR presents an innovative solution for stable and economical machining of all materials. Thanks to targeted high-pressure cooling and its six-edged indexable inserts (WSP), the system increases tool life and improves chip removal.

ISCAR manufactures the HELIDO end mills using 3D printing and can equip them with internal, flow-optimized coolant channels for JHP (Jet High Pressure) cooling. This delivers the coolant precisely and at high pressure to each cutting edge. Users can achieve higher cutting values and benefit from longer tool lives as well as better surface qualities. The precise cooling of each cutting edge reduces temperature fluctuations, prevents the formation of built-up edges, and improves chip removal. The chip remains compact while entanglements are significantly reduced.
The HELIDO end mills are available in diameters from 32 to 125 millimeters and cover a wide range of applications – face milling, slot milling, profile milling, and corner milling – in almost all workpiece materials. Ramp and drilling circular milling are also possible. For a longer service life, they are equipped with a hard-touch coating that protects the cutter body from wear and corrosion. The tool holders are fitted with six-edged ground indexable inserts. They ensure high precision and cost-effectiveness and are available with corner radii of 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, or 2 millimeters.
Six-edged aluminum specialist

Specifically for the machining of aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, ISCAR has developed the new SP WNHU 07… FN-P indexable inserts. Made from the tough cutting material IC28, the WSP features six extremely sharp, highly positive cutting edges for a clean and smooth cut. Their polished surface reduces built-up edge formation. A wide finishing edge additionally improves surface quality. The maximum cutting depth is seven millimeters.
