The trade fair is one of the important meeting points in the industry in even years. It connects products, technologies, services, training, and personal exchange. For users, manufacturers, and decision-makers, it provides a compact overview of current developments in machining and manufacturing technology.
Paul Horn GmbH uses AMB not only to display precision tools but also to demonstrate them in real machining situations. The company exhibits in Hall 1, Stand J10, over an area of around 500 square meters. Three machines under cutting demonstrate the capabilities of HORN tools. Standard products, special solutions, and innovations are utilized. HORN brings the shop floor to the fair – visible, tangible, and practical.
Tool system S274
The product novelty at the trade fair stand is the expansion of the tool system S274. Horn is further developing the system with new sintered chip shape geometries for turning and machining.
The new variants improve chip control, increase process reliability, and support economical machining on long-turning machines. For internal and external turning, Horn adds the precision-sintered chip shape geometry .1A with narrow cutting widths of 0.8 mm and 0.6 mm. Users can thereby reduce material loss while achieving safe chip formation.
The cutting inserts are available as type RS274 and as variant RE274 with an integrated threaded insert for clamping holder RH274. Horn offers them in grades TH35 and IG35. Additionally, the new chip shape geometries .NF and .PR are introduced. The .NF geometry is designed for internal longitudinal turning, while the .PR geometry is for reverse turning. Both geometries cover feed ranges from 0.02 to 0.1 mm/rev and are suitable for various materials.
Defence and Aerospace
In addition to product solutions, AMB 2026 focuses on other professional areas, including Defence and Aerospace. The fair's Saturday also plays a special role for Horn: The company participates in the parent-child rally. The goal is to inspire young people for mechanical engineering and manufacturing technology and to facilitate their access to industrial practice.
