MATRIS WPH: Flexible Automation Solution for Varying Orders

For many smaller and medium-sized companies, automated workpiece and pallet handling is the realistic first step towards optimal machine utilization - especially when machine runtime and material provision need to be better coordinated. The question of whether the focus is on workpieces or pallets is often determined by the order situation. If the inquiries vary greatly, the automation must also be flexible. This is where the MATRIS WPH from DMG MORI comes into play. It integrates both workpieces and pallets into one system. This makes it particularly suitable for productions with varying variants and quantities: workpieces and pallets can be flexibly supplied, stored, and integrated into the machining process.

The MATRIS WPH models can be installed, for example, on machines for 5-axis machining, such as the DMU 50 3rd generation, the DMU 60 eVo 2nd generation, and the DMC 65/75 monoBLOCK 2nd generation. They are also compatible with the vertical machines of the NVX and CMX V series. The current versions MATRIS WPH 70 and MATRIS WPH 210 are designed for different transfer weights, workpiece sizes, and pallet configurations: the smaller model has a transfer weight of up to 35 kg and a maximum pallet size of 400 x 400 mm. For the MATRIS WPH 210, it is up to 135 kg and pallets sized 500 x 500 mm. What is crucial for smaller and medium-sized companies is not the maximum linking but a scalable automation path: from manual setup to automated workpiece and pallet handling to flexible material provision.
