Spanflug presents new features in Spanflug MAKE at AMB 2026. The software combines all relevant data – component, machine, tool, and material – in a seamless AI-supported workflow as the first calculation solution, thus determining optimized work plans for turned and milled parts. These serve as the basis for efficient quotation preparation. Manufacturing companies receive important information during the quotation phase about whether and how an order can be manufactured economically and whether the calculated margin can also be achieved in implementation.
Precise calculation instead of estimated value
While other solutions estimate manufacturing costs based on similar reference components, Spanflug MAKE calculates them precisely. The basis for this is: an algorithm trained on millions of components and industrially validated, real-time tool and semi-finished product data, as well as individual machine parameters. The result is reproducible manufacturing times and costs based on real applicable manufacturing strategies.
New features for AMB 2026
The version presented at AMB contains three essential innovations:
- Comprehensively expanded material and semi-finished product database: The semi-finished product database, supplied with real-time data on prices and availability, is expanded by the new partner EHG Stahl.Metall Aichach GmbH to include important steel alloys and improved data on semi-finished products, such as pipes. In addition to the now over 70 materials available in the calculation, individual materials can soon be created directly in the software.
- Tool integration with CERATIZIT: The direct connection to CERATIZIT's ToolSelect allows access to real tool data. The software can thus suggest the optimized tool solution in terms of time, number of tools, and costs for each manufacturing step. The selected tools can then be ordered directly by users via the CERATIZIT online shop.
- AI-supported machine import: Existing machine tools can now be imported more quickly and easily using AI and stored in Spanflug MAKE. This simplifies adjustments to individual manufacturing.
Especially strong in variant-rich manufacturing and small series
The solution is particularly relevant for contract manufacturers with high component variance and small to medium batch sizes. It shows its greatest benefit where in-depth manual work preparation is not possible in a timely manner, skilled workers for calculation are lacking, manufacturing know-how must be secured during generational changes, or inquiries for new components come in without prior experience.
Measurable economic impact
The calculation of complex turned and milled parts, which manually takes several hours, is completed with Spanflug MAKE in minutes – with a process cost saving of often several hundred euros per component. Overall, machining companies can reduce their effort for quotation preparation by up to 90%. Quotations are sent to customers on the same day, which measurably increases the success rate. Also, in work preparation, the effort for tool selection and material procurement can be significantly reduced through the digital, data-driven process. Companies manufacture more efficiently, can shorten their delivery times, and thus increase customer satisfaction.
