Despite the economically challenging environment for machine tools, the Swiss specialist for CNC long-turning and multi-spindle lathes invested this year in its new customer and technology center in Heimsheim. This provided the framework for an interesting event concept. Tornos and 15 other partners presented the manufacturing of complex components for medical and dental technology in theory and practice. From material selection, programming, the right tools and clamping systems to material handling and measurement technology, around 300 visitors were able to learn about the latest technologies.
Tornos was supported by the partners: STARRAG – BUMOTEC / STUDENROTH – SYLVAC / SOLIDCAM / PAUL HORN / ISCAR / ECONSTEEL / ECOCLEAN / OEL-SCHEU – FLUID COMPETENCE / ENERGIEBÜRO JENNIGER / GEFA BANK / GÖLTENBODT / SCHLENKER / BÜCHELE / BFSA. The program was rounded off with scientific lectures and presentations on increasing energy efficiency as well as cost-effective financing models.
