ROEMHELD presented several innovations at Blechexpo that help reduce setup times in sheet metal forming and increase operational safety.
R-MAG-M celebrates its trade fair premiere, the provider's first own magnetic clamping system for sheet metal forming. It is the first to offer a clamping force display and exchangeable magnetic poles. With both functions, which have been requested by many customers, the clamping technology specialist is currently unrivaled in sheet metal forming.
Two further electrically driven innovations facilitate tool transport: an RW 1000-ELMO for tools up to 1,000 kg and the RWT for loads up to 4,000 kg.
For the automatic clamping of tools of different sizes on the press ram, the quick clamping system Flexline-R is also being showcased at a trade fair for the first time – as well as the 24-volt direct current variant 'Green Edition'.
ROEMHELD will showcase the innovations as well as an overview of its complete portfolio for tool changes in forming technology at Blechexpo from October 21 to 24, 2025, in Stuttgart in Hall 8 at Stand 8505.

R-MAG-M: The first magnetic clamping system with clamping force display

The electro-permanent magnetic clamping system R-MAG-M clamps tools of various sizes and geometries fully automatically and distortion-free in seconds and guarantees a secure hold even in the event of a power failure.
New is an integrated clamping force display for more process safety. Additionally, various sensors such as temperature sensors, position switches, and flux measuring sensors monitor the system during production. These control functions and high holding forces ensure secure tool clamping.

Innovative are the interchangeable magnetic poles. The technology ensures simplified maintenance and minimizes downtime, as defective poles can be replaced on-site. A modern 8-inch color display and an integrated remote maintenance module complete the new R-MAG-M.

RW 1000 ELMO, 'Electric Motion': Fully electric drive for more comfort

A new version of the tool change cart of the RW 1000 series for load capacities up to 1,000 kg expands the proven model series with a fully electric variant. Unlike the manually driven sibling products, both the lifting and the drive of the new RW 1000 ELMO are purely electric.
The 'B'-version is also available with an additional integrated docking bar at the front. This bridges interference edges on the press table and facilitates the movement of tools onto the machine table.

Heavy-duty specialist: Tool change cart RWT up to 4,000 kg

For particularly heavy loads, ROEMHELD presents the new tool change cart RWT at the trade fair. The electric vehicle with remote control for ergonomic tool handling of loads up to 4,000 kg is a fully integrated transport solution.
It combines a powerful drive with an electro-hydraulic lifting platform, an integrated push-pull system, hydraulic ball rails, and docking devices. This enables safe transport, effortless automatic in-and-out movement, and precise positioning of heavy tools. A remote control and modular equipment ensure ergonomic handling and high flexibility.

Flexline-R and Green Edition

The quick clamping system Flexline-R is based on the proven Flexline models and has been optimized for high loads. It is particularly suitable for automated press lines with frequent tool changes. The core piece is a welded stainless steel pull-push chain that offers maximum stability and durability. Reinforced holders, stainless steel components, and an emergency release at the motor increase operational safety. Precise sensors monitor the positions of the clamping element and optionally the end position of the chain.

Flexline R is available with two adjustment paths and with various hollow piston cylinders that provide up to 104 kilonewtons of clamping force. The compact design, low weight, and use of low-maintenance modules facilitate installation and service and reduce downtime. Thanks to integrated energy and signal lines, a separate guide is unnecessary.
Additionally, the Green Edition offers a variant with 24-volt direct current that is globally compatible and makes retrofitting unnecessary.
