The CUTVGRIP is ISCAR's new, multifunctional and narrow cutting insert for multidirectional external turning, copying, grooving, and 45-degree undercutting. It has a corner radius between 0.2 and 0.4 millimeters and a cutting width of only three millimeters. The user can machine complex shapes and profiles and also perform machining in tight areas that are too narrow for conventional V-ISO indexable inserts. The special chip former of the CUTVGRIP allows for excellent chip control and evacuation in all materials.

The CUTVGRIP cutting inserts are made of the wear-resistant TiAlN-coated fine grain grade IC808. It is suitable for heat-resistant alloys, austenitic stainless steel, hard alloys, and carbon steel with medium to high cutting speeds and is particularly resistant to notch wear and built-up edge formation.

To use the new cutting inserts, the user can access existing tools: They fit into the angled CUTGRIP clamping holders of type M. This saves the user costs and space in the tool cabinet.
