Change in the management of MAPAL Tooling (Thailand) Co. Ltd. James Tan, Managing Director of the Thai subsidiary since 2017, has retired at the end of April. From now on, Michael Löfflad, Managing Director of MAPAL KK, Japan, will lead both Southeast Asian subsidiaries in a dual role.
For several decades, James Tan was an important pillar for MAPAL in the region. He started his career at MAPAL in 1995 to market German products in Southeast Asia. Subsequently, he became Technical Support Manager and was responsible for training and support throughout Southeast Asia. He was also significantly involved in the establishment of MAPAL Malaysia and MAPAL Indonesia.
In 2017, James Tan finally took over the management of MAPAL Tooling Thailand. His great commitment and tireless efforts have contributed to the positive development of MAPAL in Southeast Asia.
Michael Löfflad has been Managing Director of the MAPAL KK branch in Japan since January 1, 2024. He has over 20 years of professional experience in Asia and brings extensive expertise and industry knowledge from various management positions to the company. He will now also be able to apply this expertise in his additional responsible position at MAPAL Thailand.
