The collaboration between the two companies combines DN Solutions' long-standing expertise in manufacturing with INTECH's holistic 360° offering for additive manufacturing of metal components. DN Solutions is thus particularly expanding its offerings to include Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology.
DN Solutions announces the signing of an agreement for a capital investment in INTECH Additive Solutions, India's largest manufacturer of LPBF machines, which also includes a strategic partnership with the company. Additive manufacturing of metals is a technology that produces data-driven three-dimensional objects by layering metal materials. LPBF is considered the most advanced and widely used technology.
This technology is utilized by about 80% of the market for additive manufacturing of metals. In this process, a thin layer of metal powder is applied to a working surface, which is then selectively and layer by layer melted by a laser.
As the build platform moves downwards, additional layers of metal powder are applied and melted, gradually creating the final object. Industry forecasts suggest that the market for these machines will grow worldwide from approximately 1.18 billion euros in 2022 to 3.74 billion euros by 2027, representing an annual growth rate of 26%.
Growth through bundled expertise
"The investment in INTECH and the planned collaboration with the company's experts will enable DN Solutions to offer solutions – consisting of machines, process technology, and software – not only in metal cutting but also in the additive manufacturing of metal components. This allows us to significantly contribute to the success of our customers. This is especially true for complex geometries, internal structures, and material efficiency in global growth markets such as the automotive, aerospace, medical technology, and electronics industries, including suppliers to the semiconductor industry," explains Wonjong Kim, CEO of DN Solutions.
INTECH's portfolio includes proven LPBF machines, intelligent software applications, and extensive expert services that come together to create a unique customer experience. "With our digitally supported 360° offering, we go beyond the known standards in the market," says Sridhar Balaram, founder and CEO of INTECH. "We start with the component, so we are already involved in the process during the development phase and remain by the customer's side until the production ramp-up and possible scaling in production."
Previously, DN Solutions invested in ModuleWorks, a German developer of CAD/CAM software for machine tools, in 2023; in CarbonBlack, an AI platform company based in Korea and the USA, in 2024; and in Neuromeka, a Korean robotics automation company, on March 17, 2025. Each of these partnerships has led to close and ongoing collaboration. The recent investment in INTECH consistently continues this strategic investment plan.
