SECO promises high material removal rates, short cycle times, stable processes, and long tool life with the Stabilizer series. The flexible applicability of the mills also allows for a reduction in tool inventory. The new Stabilizer end mills from Seco are a powerful, process-reliable, and cost-effective solution for numerous 2D machining operations in various materials.

The Stabilizer series consists of a 4-flute and a 5-flute end mill type, both featuring a special geometry grind. Both types have a discontinuous helix angle, an unequal face division, and an unequal cutting angle execution along the cutting length. This ensures a high material removal rate, especially in P and K material groups, reaching High-Performance (HPM) levels. The Stabilizer series is completed by a 4-flute ball nose tool.

Long Tool Life, High Process Reliability

The heat and wear-resistant SIRON-A coating enables numerous applications in a variety of materials and ensures a long tool life. The special geometry design allows for high process reliability even under unstable conditions. Rob Mulders, Global Product Manager at Seco, summarizes: 'The innovative design of the end mills offers exceptional stability in challenging milling tasks. By minimizing vibrations and chatter, Stabilizer is ideal for high feed rates and speeds, thus minimizing manufacturing costs.'

Wide Range of Applications, High Versatility

The 4-flute Stabilizers are excellent for slot and corner milling operations. They also have good ramping capabilities, for example, for pocket milling, and achieve high performance especially in steel and cast materials. The 5-flute Stabilizer is additionally suitable for machining stainless steel, titanium, and superalloys. The Stabilizer series is particularly aimed at users in the automotive industry and general mechanical engineering.
