A new electronic GARANT torque screwdriver HCT enables quick and error-free documentation of even small torques by sending measurement protocols via Bluetooth to an app from Hoffmann Group Connected Tools (HCT). HCT apps are available for smartphones and Windows PCs and allow data archiving on the computer, in the quality assurance system (CAQ), or in the MES and ERP system.

The electronic GARANT torque screwdriver HCT is available in three variants with torque ranges of 0.1 to 0.5Nm, 0.4 to 2Nm, and 0.8 to 5Nm and can be parameterized intuitively via the typical GARANT menu navigation. Due to its low weight of only 294 grams and its battery life of eight hours, it is ideal for long-term use. Additionally, the angle-stable 1.3-inch TFT display ensures effortless working, with the display being rotatable in 90° increments as needed. The measurement values are always clearly readable in any application position. Before exceeding the maximum tightening value, an optical signal via an LED ring warns the user – an audible alarm and a vibration mode can be activated. The classic GARANT design with clear lines, compatibility with the GARANT battery system, and a USB-C port are further highlights.

Parameterization at the tool and via HCT app possible The new torque screwdriver offers storage for 1000 measurement values with timestamps, 100 screwing cases in two different modes, and 10 process plans. Parameterization can be done directly at the tool as well as via the HCT app on a smartphone or Windows PC. The apps send the data via a bi-directional interface to the tools and store the incoming measurement data including serial number, date, unit, and target value. From the smartphone, they can subsequently be exported to the PC in CSV format; from the HCT Windows app, they can additionally be transferred either via MUX50/DMX16 protocol to a CAQ system or via Open Protocol to an MES or ERP system. The HCT Windows app also allows monitoring of executed screwing cases on the PC and guides employees through their tasks in detail with the help of worker guidance.

The electronic GARANT torque screwdriver HCT meets protection class IP40 and is resistant to oils, fats, fuels, brake fluids, and Skydrol. A two-component handle, password protection, a calibration reminder, and a magnetic quick-change coupling for bits complete the offering. To fully benefit from the HCT function, it is additionally recommended to use the electronic GARANT torque testing device HCT, as it allows the torque screwdriver to be easily and comfortably checked even between calibration intervals and unlocked again if necessary.

The new HCT tool is now available in the e-shop www.hoffmann-group.com. The HCT Windows app can be operated after downloading from www.hoffmann-group.com in conjunction with the corresponding radio receiver. The free HCT Mobile app is available in the App Store and on Google Play.
