Modern linear technology contributes to the competitiveness of machine tool construction. With the patented tempering option for guide rails, Bosch Rexroth offers an integrated approach that allows for even more precise, stable, and powerful high-precision machining without additional space requirements. The unique solution on the market, which is also suitable for retrofits and modular machine concepts, is now available in the Rexroth online configurator for guide rails.
Bosch Rexroth's patented Thermo Compensating Rail System TCRS provides machine tool manufacturers and their service teams with an economical tempering function for new and existing machines. The integrated cooling channels of the TCRS variant can cost-effectively improve the thermal behavior of the linear guiding and drive components involved in the process within the same space, for example, in high-speed and precision milling.
With Bosch Rexroth's patented tempering option, machining processes can be stabilized and accuracy increased by up to 75%. Additionally, scrap can be avoided, materials saved, and production starts and cycle times shortened. To enhance the cost-effectiveness of their machine series, manufacturers can also offer optional performance and retrofit packages with TCRS.
Digital engineering in the online configurator
The cost-effective tempering option can be quickly and easily selected in the online guide rail configurator. Each of the four sizes from 35 to 65 is available in two designs with and without a bottom groove. Optional deflection pockets allow for a 180° deflection of the cooling lines within the rail. After configuration, CAD data and technical documentation can be downloaded for free, and the profile rail can be ordered directly in the Rexroth online shop.
The TCRS option in the online configurator is initially represented for roller rails, while the ball rails are in preparation. The guide carriages are identical for rails with and without TCRS and can also be configured online.
Integrated measuring system for the highest requirements
Bosch Rexroth also supplies the TCRS rails with the integrated position measuring system IMS upon request. This combines the three functions of guiding, measuring, and tempering in a space-saving and retrofittable solution. Machine tools can thus achieve the highest precision with minimal design and operating costs.
