HWR Clamping Technology makes its debut at Intec

At the international trade fair for machine tools, manufacturing, and automation technology Intec in Leipzig (March 11 to 14), HWR Clamping Technology presents its powerful portfolio, including advancements of proven products as well as some innovations.

For the northern German company, it is the first appearance at Intec. Visitors to the HWR booth in Hall 3, Stand A30 can expect literally exciting technology from the two HWR product families INOLine and SOLIDLine on around 70 m2.

Innovative zero-point and embossing clamping technology SOLIDLine

The zero-point and embossing clamping technology of the SOLIDLine product family is continuously supplemented and further developed by HWR. One of the latest additions on display at Intec is the 5-axis centering clamp SOLIDGrip MAXX. It expands the SOLIDGrip series with four coordinated and ascending sizes, allowing for precise clamping of larger components. SOLIDGrip MAXX enables clamping ranges of up to 500 mm, 600 mm, 700 mm, and up to 800 mm. Existing clamps can be easily and cost-effectively upgraded to SOLIDGrip MAXX.

In combination with HWR's innovative embossing station SOLIDStamp, raw parts receive an imprint outside the centering clamp in seconds; the SOLIDGrip clamping jaws form a form-fit with the corresponding holding gear. This way, the workpiece is securely held in position, and no large holding forces need to be generated in the clamping device itself. The result is less scrap and optimal results.

Flexible all-rounders – INOFlex VT-Q and INOFlex VF-A

The different chuck types of the INOFlex clamping system developed by HWR are flexible all-rounders that can solve practically all conceivable clamping tasks on modern machine tools. The patented compensation allows workpieces to be clamped repeatably, securely, and concentrically, regardless of geometry or material. INOFlex clamping devices are the optimal choice, especially for deformation-sensitive or thin-walled components. At Intec, the two innovations INOFlex VT-Q and INOFlex VF-A are in special focus, which will be available from spring 2025.

INOFlex VT-Q is a 4-jaw power clamping chuck with through hole and quick-change jaw system. It is particularly characterized by its ability to quickly adapt to new clamping situations in seconds. Setup times can be significantly reduced, and machine runtimes are optimized – increasing the productivity and efficiency of the entire manufacturing process.

INOFlex VF-A is a hydraulically operated 4-sided automation clamp suitable for automated workpiece change. The hydraulic actuation allows for quick and precise changes of workpieces, resulting in a significant increase in productivity. The compensating chuck mechanism makes the INOFlex VF-A a flexible all-rounder for automation, as nearly all part geometries can be covered with a single clamping device.

HWR Clamping Technology at Intec for the first time

For HWR, the trade fair appearance at Intec is a premiere! The entire trade fair team at HWR looks forward to personal exchanges with partners, customers, and interested parties. Visitors can convince themselves of the versatile applications of the innovative clamping devices at Stand A30 in Hall 3 in Leipzig.
