Domestic sales have suffered significantly. In foreign markets, the decline was less pronounced, with the USA and Great Britain even showing growth. Despite this development, the family-owned company is experiencing growth in technologically leading products. The online shop Cellarno has developed positively. For 2025, the management expects a sideways movement. Since the company managed without layoffs for operational reasons, they plan to switch back to a growth trajectory immediately with the existing capacities when the economy recovers.

Despite a significant decline in revenue last year, the growth in our top products confirms that our major direction is correct,” emphasizes Simon Storf, one of the managing directors at Arno Tools. For 2024, the family-run tool manufacturer reports a revenue of 54 million euros. The decline of 5.5 percent was less severe than in the industry overall, thanks to the innovative product range and the high quality of process consulting that distinguishes Arno Tools.

There were also significantly positive developments last year. The top products SA and TE for turning and facing, as well as the quick-change system for long turning, have seen increases. In both product groups, Arno Tools is among the technology leaders. This shows that customers continue to invest when products directly increase productivity or automate processes, thus addressing the shortage of skilled workers.

Sales through the e-shop Cellarno have also developed positively. The sales from the online shop now account for about ten percent of total revenue.

Cautious outlook for 2025

In 2025, the management at Arno Tools generally expects an economic sideways movement. Storf does not specify a revenue target. Nevertheless, the company wants to continue to be present at important trade fairs and introduce innovative new products and product extensions. “And when the economy recovers and grows again, we can switch immediately with our team, which we have largely retained, and take off from the pole position,” assures the managing director.
