INGERSOLL has launched a 5 mm small, tangential indexable cutting insert for end mills and screw-in mills of the new MaxSFeed product line.

Smaller end mills as well as two new types of indexable cutting inserts are complemented by the pressed CGX101 and the precision-ground CGM101. Both indexable cutting inserts in end mills and screw-in mills are suitable for diameter ranges from 10 to 32 mm, thus offering a greater product selection compared to competitors.

Facts about the MaxSFeed indexable cutting inserts:

  • Stable, double-sided, tangential indexable cutting insert with 4 cutting edges and helical cutting edge for soft cutting machining
  • Increased machining stability due to reinforced cutting edges
  • Minimal offset during contouring due to unique tangential insert design
  • Suitable for straight plunge milling and circular plunge milling
  • For precise 90-degree shoulder milling
  • Optimized geometry for soft cutting and higher stability

In contrast to radial mills, the MaxSFeed series mills offer greater process reliability during machining due to the more stable milling body, resulting from the thicker core.
