Cellro, specialist in CNC automation, presents the Xcelerate X60 Next Gen. The modular automation system allows machining companies a tailored entry into CNC automation and can be adjusted at any time to meet increasing production demands. Additional storage capacity, a second CNC machine, or further processing operations can also be integrated later – without devaluing the original investment.

"The purchase of an automation cell is a significant investment – especially now, as the first signs of a market recovery are emerging," explains Arnoud de Kuijper, CEO of Cellro. "Many companies still do not know what their production will look like in a year. Therefore, they postpone investments or opt directly for an oversized solution with storage capacities and functions that they currently do not need. With the Xcelerate X60 Next Gen, you start exactly with what you need today and only expand the system when your production actually requires it."
The Xcelerate X60 Next Gen is a comprehensive advancement of the proven X60 platform, of which numerous systems are already successfully in use. "With greater storage capacity, higher flexibility, expanded expansion options, and an attractive entry price, the Xcelerate X60 Next Gen positions itself as a strong alternative in the market," says De Kuijper.
Versatile for a wide range of manufacturing tasks
With the Xcelerate X60, the entire product mix can be manufactured within a single automation cell. The system processes workpieces, shafts, and pallets up to a size of 400 × 400 mm and a weight of up to 45 kg. It is suitable for turning, milling, grinding, and measuring processes.
Between different product series, the cell automatically changes clamping devices and grippers, allowing high-mix-low-volume production to continue unmanned. Since the Xcelerate X60 can be connected to almost any CNC machine, it integrates seamlessly into existing manufacturing environments.
Furthermore, many customers desire an open data connection to existing shop floor systems, such as ERP solutions. This open integration is, of course, also supported by Cellro with the Xcelerate X60.
Storage capacity grows with
The Smart-Lift system of the Xcelerate X60 stacks up to 17 trays vertically, thus optimally utilizing the available hall height. In the basic configuration, around 7 m² of storage capacity is available. With increasing demand, this can be expanded using side and rear cabinets as well as Euro pallets to up to 12 m² – the largest storage capacity within the Xcelerate portfolio. Additionally, ergonomic pallet loading modules are available.
"A new product series or a larger batch often simply requires additional buffer space," explains De Kuijper. "You can add that as needed – even after installation."
Growing manufacturing capabilities
The Xcelerate X60 also grows with your manufacturing requirements. If your production needs more machine hours than available with a single machine, or if you want to add another type of processing, simply connect a second CNC machine to the same cell. This increases output or combines turning and milling in one cell. If a series requires processing multiple sides, you can add the R-C2 | 6S module for fully unmanned six-sided machining.
"That’s exactly why we rely on a modular design," explains De Kuijper. "Your current investment remains intact, even if you need a second machine or additional functions tomorrow. You build on the existing system instead of investing in a new automation system again."
On display at AMB in Stuttgart
Even before the official market launch at AMB in Stuttgart, the first three Xcelerate X60 Next Gen systems were sold to customers domestically and abroad.
"We want to make automation accessible and ensure that it remains so," summarizes De Kuijper. "You start with a lean solution tailored to today's needs – with the assurance that the cell will grow with your company."
