From September 15 to 19, 2026, HEMA will present its portfolio of machine protection solutions for machine tools at AMB in Stuttgart. In Hall 10 at Stand C76, alongside pneumatic clamping systems like RotoClamp, there will also be machine protection systems such as bellows or roll covers.

At the international exhibition for metalworking AMB, HEMA demonstrates how production machines and work areas can be protected with customizable safety systems. The portfolio includes not only protective and visibility systems but also pneumatic clamping and braking systems, for example for rotational applications.

Process safety during rotational movements

RotoClamp was specifically developed for positional clamping in manufacturing machines with rotating elements. The pneumatic clamping system is available in both internal and external clamping versions and is compatible with all common shaft sizes in the industry. The operating principle is based on a spring storage: A spring membrane is pressurized with compressed air, shortening, and the clamping elements release the shaft. When the compressed air is removed, the spring plates immediately return to their original position and clamp the shaft with great force. A booster function with additional compressed air supply further increases the clamping force if needed. RotoClamp features a fail-safe function: If the pneumatic system fails, the axis is immediately clamped with high force. This provides users with several process advantages. The pneumatic system generates high clamping forces even at low pressures, ensuring high production safety in precision manufacturing. The fail-safe function offers additional safety and keeps scrap low.

Individually designed machine protection

In addition to RotoClamp and other clamping and braking systems, HEMA showcases its customizable protection systems. These include compact bellows such as bellows solutions with XXL dimensions as well as roof and complex rear wall covers. Also in focus are roll covers as a space-saving protective alternative for machine parts that do not require complete coverage. Recently, HEMA introduced the new roll cover TF-RS 3D. Compared to standard versions, it achieves a 30 percent faster travel speed without compromising service life and uptime. The trade fair appearance is rounded off with HEMA's visibility systems. Here, the manufacturer offers machine safety windows that are custom-made according to customer requirements and designed according to the required protection class. Trade visitors can also learn about the SPINVISTA rotating windows, which allow them to maintain a clear view of the machining process during the cutting operation.
