The general meeting of the Graphical Tool Data Exchange - Standard Open Base e.V. (GTDE e.V.) unanimously elected Frzovic (Hartmetallfabrik Paul Horn GmbH) to lead the association. Thomas Breuning (Tool-Data-Consulting) was confirmed as vice chairman, along with Dietmar Hechtle (Emuge GmbH & Co. KG), Hassan Noureddine (Hartmetallfabrik Paul Horn GmbH), and Tobias Wetz (Gühring KG), who continue to serve on the board.
Around 50 experts from industry, development, and standardization discussed current progress and challenges in the area of standardized tool data at the conference hosted by Walter AG. The focus was particularly on the further development of DIN and ISO standards as well as requirements for the digital twin of tools. The discussions underscored the growing importance of high-quality and standardized tool data as a foundation for seamless digital processes in design, simulation, and manufacturing. This strengthens GTDE's role as a platform for the harmonization and further development of this data.
