The robot combines enormous reach with precise dynamics, thus opening up new possibilities in automotive manufacturing, battery and large component handling, as well as heavy logistics. Shortly after its market launch, it was delivered for integration by PIA Automation at an automotive customer.

The KR TITAN ultra was designed for maximum performance with extreme loads: up to 1,500 kg payload and reaches of up to 4,200 mm at 1,000 kg payload enable safe and efficient handling of large, heavy components – such as battery packs, body modules, or tools.

Performance class redefined

The robust mechanics and precise motion control address processes where stability, repeat accuracy, and cycle time are equally important. 'With the KR TITAN ultra, we are setting a new standard in the heavy-duty segment. The combination of payload, reach, and modular structure opens up completely new automation possibilities for our customers,' explains Maximilian Pettkuhn, product manager at KUKA.

After the market launch of the most powerful variant with a 1,500 kg payload and 3,200 mm reach last year, two additional models are now available since mid-January – with 1,000 kg payload and reaches of 4,200 mm and 3,700 mm. This allows integrators and end users to flexibly choose between different reaches depending on the application. The modular design concept facilitates planning, commissioning, and service throughout the entire lifecycle.

Efficiency, Precision, and Low TCO

The KR TITAN ultra offers outstanding inertia and particularly stable kinematics thanks to its double swing. The design enables low TCO values throughout the entire lifecycle, supported by minimal maintenance efforts and energy-efficient components.

Strong Signal from Augsburg

The KR TITAN ultra marks an important strategic step for KUKA in the heavy-duty segment and underscores the ambition to provide the strongest KUKA robot. Positive feedback from the market is already evident in initial projects – including an order from the automotive sector shortly after market introduction, which is being implemented with PIA Automation. This sends a visible signal from KUKA for productive, scalable, and safe automation solutions 'Made in Augsburg'.
